 Office Support Administrator - Receptionist

"As much as I go back and forth with my cultural identity, I am lucky to consider myself Indo-Caribbean and I'm proud of my unique and vibrant culture."

Jade was born in Trinidad & Tobago and identifies as an Indo-Caribbean or West Indian – this is a result of the Indian Indentureship system that began in 1845 when part of the Indian population was recruited as labourers in the Caribbean.

Some Indo-Trinidadians experience a lifelong identity crisis as they don't look like the stereotypical Caribbean. Rather than viewing her two identities as a contradiction, she sees them as an opportunity to mix two cultures and create something unique.

We are honoured to be able to tell Jade's story and to have her as part of our team. We thank you, Jade, for your hard work, dedication, and, most of all, your welcoming smile!
