JACKIE EASTON

 Senior Labour Manager

"Women in the trades often face difficult challenges, but they should not discourage anyone from following their dreams.

If you are a woman passionate about the trades, don't be afraid to explore all the possibilities"

Jackie Easton graduated with a degree in psychology and originally wanted to go to a teacher's college, but a misunderstanding led her to explore the field of HR instead. She found her passion in labor management and joined Plan Group in 1998, where she has been dedicated to helping people succeed.

Women were not encouraged to pursue a career in the trades industry in the past and were often pushed towards teaching or nursing. Even though progress has been made, there is still a lack of awareness about construction trade careers, with only half of young women receiving information in this area but Jackie is dedicated to closing this gap and encouraging more women to explore the trades industry.

Since Jackie joined Plan Group, she has been a champion for change, inspiring countless women to pursue their interests in the trades, including her daughter, who is now an electrician apprentice with #teamplangroup. We are honoured to have Jackie as part of our team - a true Plan Group veteran.

As Women in Construction Week comes to a close, we want to give a big shoutout to amazing women like Jackie, who are breaking barriers and making waves in the industry. Jackie is an inspiration, showing us all that anything is possible when we put our minds and hearts into it. We are proud to recognize her and all the other incredible women in construction who are paving the way for future generations.
