Just five months ago, Jo Jo Wong was working at Bouygues Construction, our parent company in her hometown of Hong Kong. However, her life took an exciting turn when she was offered a position as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Plan Group in Toronto. Jo Jo didn't think twice and took the leap to embark on a new adventure. She packed her bags, said goodbye to her comfort zone, and set off for an exciting new chapter.

Naturally, Jo Jo had some concerns about adapting to a new culture and fitting into a different company. However, her worries quickly dissipated when she was warmly embraced by #TeamPlanGroup from day one, making her feel so at home that it seemed like she had been part of the team for ages and the shared company culture between Bouygues Construction and Plan Group played a significant role in facilitating her smooth transition, amplifying the sense of belonging she felt.

Jo Jo was always drawn towards math as a child and had a unique desire to explore beyond conventional paths. Despite encountering a lack of engineering women, Jo pursued her passion fearlessly and jumped headfirst into this exciting field. Her courageous spirit and adventurous nature have always been a part of who she is, and she continues to inspire others to follow their dreams.

Jo Jo says that her decision to embrace this leap of faith and embark on a new adventure is an immensely rewarding experience, and we are beyond thrilled to have been a part of her journey, making her feel at home in no time!
